During an interview with CNN, host Jake Tapper asked Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo whether he or his department had conducted any data projection analysis to anticipate the consequences of repealing vaccine mandates in Florida before making the decision to do so. “Absolutely not,” Ladapo answered.

In his response, Ladapo rejected the idea that scientific truth should dictate “what is the right and wrong thing to do,” and suggested that parents should have the right to refuse any or all vaccinations for their children regardless of what science says.
