Gabrielle Cuccia, a Pentagon reporter for conservative One America News Network, lost her job in 2025 after publicly criticizing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Cuccia claimed that real leaks from the Pentagon came from Hegseth’s team and criticized the lack of media briefings.
Three days after her post, Cuccia reported that her access badge to the Pentagon had been revoked, although the Defense Department had not officially revoked her credentials.
The Pentagon Press Association stated that Hegseth’s restrictions represent a direct assault on press freedom.
