Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., criticized people she called Democratic “elites” who are pushing for President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race to allow another candidate to take his spot. AOC warned that those people, the so-called “elites,” are also “not interested” in seeing Vice President Kamala Harris take Biden’s place on the ballot.
Ocasio-Cortez also called the people part of a “donor class” that does not want to see Harris on the ticket.
This comes amidst rumors that President Biden is planning to step down from the race.
