Nearly 11% of women who took a chemical abortion pill experienced serious health complications, according to a report from the Foundation for the Restoration of America. The rate of serious complications from chemical abortions is about 22 times higher than what the FDA reported for mifepristone.


Dr. Christina Francis noted that the Mifeprex label downplays serious health risks and called for an urgent safety review by the FDA. The study suggests that reinstating original patient safety protocols could reduce risks associated with mifepristone.
