Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., chair of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, sent letters to the heads of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), requesting their availability to testify at a Feb. 12 oversight hearing.

Framing the session as budget oversight, Paul said the hearing reviews congressionally approved immigration enforcement funds. In the letter, Paul noted President Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” gave ICE about $18.7 billion yearly for 4 years.
