Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, R, is returning to court to challenge the Biden administration’s policies providing workforce protections for transgender employees.
Paxton’s lawsuit is targeting the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidance that provides an updated definition of discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Three years ago, in 2021, a court ruled that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission should not have the power to reinterpret the law, or, in turn, use mandates based off of those interpretations.
