Police: Woman arrested after driving past barricades into Maryland street festival

A woman named Kai Deberry-Bostick, 28, was arrested for driving into a crowded street festival in Laurel, Maryland, after breaching barriers, according to Laurel Police. One person was injured in a prior propane explosion at the same festival, stated Mayor Keith R. Sydnor.

The festival’s parade was canceled due to the incidents, according to police, who noted that no festival-goers were harmed.

Police stated that Deberry-Bostick was charged with assault after her vehicle struck one of their officers, causing minor injuries.
