Influential pollster Gallup said in a new report that the political environment this year favors Republicans for the presidency. Everything from President Joe Biden’s low approval rating, which sits at 39%, to how Americans view the direction of the country, with just 22% saying they were satisfied when it comes to the direction of the country, all contribute to the decision.
Negative evaluations of the economy also help the Republican Party, with more Americans saying the GOP is the party they say will do a better job at keeping Americans prosperous. The survey took place between Sept. 3 and 15, and polled just over 1,000 people with a margin of error of around 4%.
