63% of Americans have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party, according to a Marquette Law School poll published in May. Only 27% of voters approve of Democrats in Congress, while 58% disapprove, according to an NPR/PBS News/Marist poll.

Democratic strategist Rodell Mollineau stated that there is a perception that the party is “out of touch,” “woke” and “weak,” which needs to be addressed. Many Americans believe the Republican Party best represents the working class, not the Democratic Party.
