Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., suggested that the U.S. government may have been involved in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks during an interview with Benny Johnson on The Benny Show. Johnson questioned the official explanation for the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7, stating it may have been a controlled demolition.

He expressed hope for future hearings to uncover hidden information related to 9/11, stating, “Hopefully, now with this administration, we can find out what is being covered up.”

Historian Larry Glickman found it “incredible” that a sitting senator can make such comments without facing calls for resignation or removal from office.
