Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., on Friday called a video President Donald Trump shared on his Truth Social page “the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House.”

“The President should remove it,” Scott said on X.

The video, which mainly focused on false election fraud claims, depicted former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes. The video was taken down from his Truth Social account after being up for about 12 hours.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt initially defended the video in a statement, but a White House official later said a staffer posted it.
