In a recent interview with The Times, acclaimed fiction novelist Stephen King predicted that “20 or 30 years down the line, when I’ll be dead and you’ll be old, I think a lot of people are going to say, ‘Well, I never voted for Trump.’” In the interview, King also compared masked, unidentified ICE agents to the notorious Nazi secret police force, the Gestapo.
The author said that he feels a moral obligation to speak out against Trump’s actions even when doing so might cost him some fans.

The interview touched on deeper personal issues, as well, as King shared his fears about growing old, including a fear of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
King, who has authored more than 65 novels or novellas in his storied career, reflected: “I’m afraid of that [dementia] happening to me and every time that I can’t remember a word or something, I think, ‘This is the start.’”
