Tom Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar, responded to Pope Francis’ criticism of mass deportations. Pope Francis warned that mass deportations “damages the dignity of many men and women” in a letter to U.S. Bishops.

“Stick to the Catholic Church and leave border enforcement to us,” Homan said.

Homan claimed that under Trump, illegal immigration border crossings are down 90% and asserted, “We’re saving lives every day.”

The border czar criticized the Pope for focusing on U.S. border policies.

“You have a lot of problems right there in the Catholic Church,” Homan shot back at the Pope.
