Following his support, Tillis criticized Hegseth’s Signal chat mishandling and Ukraine shipment halt, calling them “amateurish” as he reevaluates his vote based on new management concerns.
Tillis, who will not seek reelection, emphasized the need for effective management in the military, indicating that he feels previous assessments of Hegseth were too lenient.
