The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking three suspects for attacking a 61-year-old transgender woman. The alleged assault occurred outside her convenience store in Westlake, Los Angeles.

The first attack involved a suspect sexually assaulting the victim, then threatening to kill her after realizing she was transgender.

In subsequent attacks, the suspects beat the victim with a skateboard, pepper-sprayed her and attempted to use a Taser.

Sabrina de la Peña, the victim, believes the suspects targeted her for being transgender. She has called on the community to help identify her attackers.
