The Trump administration extended Title X family planning grants to Planned Parenthood for another year, citing “significant legal challenges” in stopping the payments. Originally locked in during the Biden administration, these funds forced the administration to issue this fifth and final year of grants to the organization.

SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser called the decision an “inexplicable slap in the face” to the GOP base, warning that one-third of GOP voters would be less enthusiastic about voting if pro-life policies are abandoned.

The Department of Health and Human Services said it will soon release a new Title X funding opportunity for the next five-year cycle, which the Trump administration claims will “prioritize life” and promote its “pro-family agenda.”

Anti-Abortion advocates like Students for Life President Kristan Hawkins are pressuring the administration to enforce the Comstock Act, arguing it would stop the mailing of abortion drugs being “ignored thousands of times every single day.
