President Donald Trump has ordered that 50 former intelligence officials who claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation be banned from secure government facilities in the U.S. The Jan. 29 memo directs national security agencies to revoke unescorted access to secure U.S. government facilities for these officials.
Prominent figures affected include former CIA Directors John Brennan, Michael Hayden, and Leon Panetta, among others. The Trump administration says the actions aim to protect classified information from those who have misused their positions and to restore accountability within the intelligence community.
