President Donald Trump accused Comcast of trying to distance itself from MSNBC to avoid lawsuits over what he describes as “unfair” coverage of him. Trump posted on Truth Social that Comcast’s efforts to disassociate NBC from MSNBC “won’t work.”
The president has engaged in legal battles with several media companies, including a lawsuit against Paramount, the parent company of CBS News.
Comcast announced plans to restructure. Due to losses in traditional TV, the media company aims to spin off cable channels like MSNBC and focus on digital platforms.
