Ahead of his scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Donald Trump has criticized media coverage of the upcoming event. The two leaders are expected to meet at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska.

This would be the first U.S.-Russia summit held on American soil since 1998. On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Very unfair media is at work on my meeting with Putin.”

He added, “The Fake News is working overtime.” In a recent interview, former National Security Advisor John Bolton described the meeting as a potential advantage for Putin.

Trump also stated that despite what he views as achievements by his administration, media outlets continue to portray the outcomes in a negative light.
