On May 27, 2025, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem spoke at the first CPAC meeting held in Jasionka, Poland, ahead of the June 1 presidential election. Noem and other speakers linked the event to a contested election between conservative Karol Nawrocki, backed by Trump and Polish political party Law and Justice, and pro-EU liberal mayor Rafał Trzaskowski.

Noem urged Poles to elect Nawrocki, describing him as a strong leader similar to Trump who would maintain U.S. military support and help defend Poland against shared threats. She criticized Trzaskowski as a “train wreck of a leader” and claimed the election is critical to fighting a globalist threat undermining Western values, with U.S. troops stationed to reassure Poland.

The CPAC gathering highlighted Poland’s role in global conservative efforts and suggested Nawrocki’s election could strengthen U.S.-Poland ties amid fears of Russian aggression and cultural decline.
