Vice President JD Vance said Wednesday he thinks President Donald Trump hopes to finish building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border by the end of his term in 2029. Reporters questioned Vance about Trump’s goals and “success” during a trip to Eagle Pass, Texas.
“I think the president’s hope is that by the end of the term we build the entire border wall,” the vice president replied.
Vance also suggested that the Trump administration launch an artificial intelligence tool to aid border security, The Hill reported. Combating illegal immigration and drug trafficking has become a top priority for the Trump administration.
