Former President Donald Trump called for Secret Service protection for independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Trump joins multiple other politician’s calling for protection for RFK Jr.

This comes after an assassination attempt at one of Trump’s rallies on Saturday, July 13. On Truth Social, Trump emphasized the urgency for Kennedy’s protection. Trump cited current world events as a motivating factor. The administration agreed to extend Secret Service protection to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Trump also referenced the history of the Kennedy Family to push forward the decision.

The Secret Service has also increased protection for President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump himself.
