Trump Media & Technology Group moved its incorporation from Delaware to Florida in early May 2025. The company cited Delaware as a center of “corporate lawfare by woke activists, ” aligning Florida with better business conditions.

Other major firms, including Tesla, SpaceX, Pershing Square, Mercado Libre and Dropbox, have also exited Delaware for similar reasons.

Devin Nunes, CEO of Trump Media, expressed on Wednesday, April 30, that Florida offers an environment where progressive activism fades, free expression is encouraged and companies can focus on their operations.

This move reflects a broader corporate trend leaving Delaware, potentially reinforcing Florida’s reputation for a pro-business and free-speech environment.
