Trump on war plans group chat: ‘It’s just something that can happen’

President Donald Trump dismissed worries that a group chat revealed sensitive military information. He asserted that “no classified information” was shared during the conversation with press members.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt firmly stated that government officials didn’t discuss “war plans” in a group chat.

National Security Adviser Mike Waltz took “full responsibility” for adding journalist Jeffrey Goldberg to the chat. He criticized Goldberg for his role in the situation.

Goldberg claimed the group chat included “precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.” His statement contradicted what Leavitt said about the conversation.
