Authorities investigating the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump said they believe they found one of the social media profiles used by the gunman. The CEO of Gab, a conservative alt-right social media platform, said he learned Thomas Crooks had an account on the platform on Wednesday, July 24, when police filed an emergency disclosure request. Gab officials said they could not confirm that the account was Crooks’ with certainty. The account had posted nine times with messages that supported President Joe Biden, according to Gab officials.
