Former President Trump’s team denied wrongdoing, disputing cemetery officials’ reports of a shoving incident, claiming there was “no conflict” and further labeling accusations as “made up” by presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris.
The two staffers involved were identified as Justin Caporale, deputy campaign manager, and Michel Picard, from Trump’s advance team, according to NPR.
The Army confirmed in a statement that a cemetery employee was “abruptly pushed aside,” noting the campaign was warned against photography and political activities at the cemetery.
