President-elect Donald Trump has called NBC late-night host Seth Meyers a “moron” and threatened Comcast in an early morning social media post. Trump has previously bashed the network during his first term as president.
“These are not shows or entertainment, they are simply political hits, 100% of the time, to me and the Republican Party. Comcast should pay a BIG price for this!” Trump posted on Truth Social early Tuesday, Jan. 14.
During his first term, he suggested pulling NBC’s FCC license.
However, Ajit Pai, who Trump appointed to FCC chair during his first term, said that news programming was protected under the First Amendment.
