President Donald Trump announced the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) Home app aimed at helping undocumented immigrants self-deport voluntarily. The president emphasized that failure to do so may lead to permanent deportation from the U.S.
In a video, Trump warned illegal aliens that they will be deported eventually and that self-deportation could allow for future legal entry.
“The CBP Home app is now available free across all mobile app stores, and I encourage those who have violated our laws to use this option,” Trump said. “Today, do it right, and come back into our country. Do it wrong, and you’ll never be back again.”
The Biden administration’s CBP One app allowed many illegal entries, prompting Trump’s efforts to encourage self-deportation.
