Donald Trump stated that he has had calls with Vladimir Putin and believes the U.S. is making progress in talks to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Trump mentioned that his special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will visit Ukraine soon and that he plans to speak with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this week.


Trump suggested that Ukraine may eventually become Russian and called for the country to share its natural resources in exchange for U.S. assistance. Keith Kellogg announced plans to discuss peace in Ukraine with allies at the Munich Security Conference from Feb. 14-16.
