Four schools in Arizona’s Navajo County received bomb threats on Election Day, causing concern among voters and law enforcement. Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes declared the threats “unsubstantiated” and confirmed no credible danger existed.
Fontes indicated the bomb threats were part of a broader “probing attack” involving foreign adversaries, specifically naming Russia. Russia denied the claims that it was behind the bomb hoaxes in the U.S., also denying claims that it had planned to send incendiary devices on planes bound for the U.S.
