The U.S. Navy released videos showing a destroyer launching interceptors against Iranian ballistic missiles to defend Israel in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder stated that the U.S. Joined Israeli units in firing about a dozen interceptors.
The U.S. Military presence includes the USS Arleigh Burke in the Mediterranean and other assets in the region amid Iranian missile attacks on Israel. The Iranian missile attacks are in response to the Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon.
