Climate activists from Extinction Rebellion vandalized the Wall Street Bull with green graffiti reading “Greed = Death” during an Earth Day demonstration. The group attempted to clean the graffiti before police arrived and later claimed responsibility for the act on social media.
They stated their actions were to protest against Wall Street’s influence and failures, asserting, “We came to Wall Street to call out the bullshit.” The bull, weighing over 7,000 pounds, has been a symbol of financial prosperity and has previously been targeted by protesters.
