The Trump administration said it received 18 trade proposals from foreign governments, as announced by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt during a briefing. Vice President JD Vance announced that the United States and India have finalized the terms of reference for trade negotiations during his trip to India.

Leavitt reported that over 100 countries are interested in making trade deals, highlighting ongoing negotiations with China.

She also stated that tariffs on U.S. goods from China have increased to 125%, with Chinese countermeasures against new trade deals.
