During the interview, Trump said he would “never rule it out,” adding, “I’m not saying no, but I’m also not saying yes.”

Previously, Trump has downplayed a 2028 presidential bid, stating he very much doubts he would consider running while describing politics as brutal. However, during a July interview with the Financial Times, he also highlighted his leadership capabilities, expressed criticism of lawmakers, and mentioned that he found many politicians unimpressive.

Eric Trump’s growing business presence and openness to politics maintain his family’s visibility, implying sustained political interest without a firm candidacy.
