Kevin Davies, father of Wales rugby player Gareth Davies, was ordered to pay over £26,000 to a former employee for deliberately coughing in her face during the Covid pandemic. The incident, meant to mock her health concerns, occurred in March 2020 at Cawdor Cars, where the woman worked. She had requested social distancing due to her autoimmune condition. Feeling victimized and unsupported, she resigned three months later. The tribunal awarded her £18,000 for injury to feelings, £3,841.94 for unfair dismissal, and £4,596.90 in interest, totaling £26,438.84. The woman described the experience as “horrendous” and traumatizing.
