Woman, pardoned for Jan. 6, sentenced to 10 years in prison for deadly DUI crash

A Franklin County, Missouri, woman, Emily Hernandez, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a deadly DUI crash that killed Victoria Wilson and injured Ryan Wilson, as reported by the St. Louis Dispatch. Hernandez had a blood-alcohol content of 0.20%, which is more than double the legal limit of 0.08% in Missouri, according to authorities.

Judge Ryan Helfrich stated that probation was not appropriate given the nature of the incident, highlighting the severity of the crash.

Hernandez expressed remorse at her sentencing, stating, “What I did was ungodly and I will live with that shame for the rest of my life.”

President Donald Trump pardoned Hernandez and about 1,500 other people charged or convicted of crimes during the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.
