WorldPride organizers caution transgender visitors from abroad

Organizers of WorldPride 2025 in Washington, D.C., may warn transgender individuals about attending the event due to safety concerns related to anti-trans policies enacted by the Trump administration. Ryan Bos, executive director of the Capital Pride Alliance, mentioned that there might be a statement advising trans people to stay home or come at their own risk due to increased travel barriers.

Germany has issued a travel warning for transgender citizens considering travel to the U.S., noting new federal rules requiring government documents to match sex assigned at birth. Despite safety concerns, Bos believes domestic attendance at WorldPride may grow, as the event aims to ensure safety and visibility for everyone.
