Following the second presidential debate, ABC News hosts David Muir and Linsey Davis faced some criticism for focusing their fact-checking on former President Trump while appearing lenient toward Vice President Kamala Harris. In contrast to the first presidential debate hosted by CNN where the moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash did not address potential false claims made by Trump and former President Joe Biden, the ABC moderators live fact-checked candidates during the debate.
In the video above, Straight Arrow News contributor Star Parker argues that the ABC moderators made several errors in their fact-checking and stresses the importance of accuracy and fairness when moderators choose to intervene.

The following is an excerpt from the above video:
Minnesota’s Department of Health has reported that three infants were born alive during abortion procedures in 2019, Walz’s first year as governor, and they perished without receiving lifesaving care. Five more infants were born alive in 2021, and none of them was provided lifesaving care. In 2023, Walz signed legislation to eliminate the reporting requirement that documented the eight infant deaths during his first term as governor. Walz also eliminated any legal obligations for doctors, nurses and medical professionals to administer lifesaving care to infants born alive during an abortion procedure.
And as U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris twice voted against protecting innocent, born-alive babies during an abortion procedure, and she erroneously claimed in the debate that abortions are not taking place as late as nine months of pregnancy.
