I today, I want to talk about the continued refusal from Republicans to answer the simplest of simple questions, did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election? This isn’t new, but it has new life. During the vice presidential debate, JD Vance was asked, did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election. He was asked this by Tim Walz JD Vance, gave a non answer about how he’s looking forward, not backwards. And the next day, former Trump campaign advisor and Trump supporter, I don’t know what his role is today, Corey Lewandowski was asked on TV, did Trump lose in 2020 and Corey Lewandowski refused to answer. The following day, JD Vance was asked at a campaign event by a reporter, why didn’t you answer? It? Did Donald Trump lose in 2020 and JD Vance refused to answer. And then, more recently, Tom Cotton was interviewed by Kristen Welker and was asked, did Donald Trump lose in 2020 and he refused to answer. He said, It’s a gotcha. He said, it’s a game. He said, Joe Biden is currently the president. So let me break down each aspect of this and then tell you at the end of the day what it’s really about. Number one, sometimes they will say, when asked, did Donald Trump lose, they will say, Joe Biden was inaugurated as President of the United States, and he is indeed the president. Now you might say, well, that is that an answer? Is that not an answer? The reason they do that is they acknowledge that Biden is currently the president, without addressing the question of whether they believe Biden is only president because he stole it from Trump, who really is the person that one by saying only they inaugurated Biden, they don’t have to address whether Biden won fairly or unfairly. So that’s number one. That’s how you have to interpret and understand that response number two, they say it’s either a game or a gotcha. How perverted and backwards is this party when it comes to reality, when they say the question, did Trump lose in 2020? Is a gotcha or a game? And more importantly, if they simply said Trump did lose, this question would go away. They love to frame it as if this is an indicator of the media’s bias that they keep asking this question. There’s a reason they don’t ask, did Donald Trump legitimately win in 2016 as much as they love to say, Hillary said it was rigged, and whatever Hillary Clinton said, Trump was helped by foreign interference, she never said that Trump rigged it or stole it or the machines, or that she should be present. She said Trump got help, but she called Trump on election night and she conceded the election. So if they started asking people on the left, did Trump really win in 2016 Yeah, he really won. He really won each of the states that he got electoral votes for, and those added up to 270 sure he I do believe that he got some help from Russia. I believe Putin wanted Trump to win, to destabilize democracy, but Trump won. It’s that simple. The reason they don’t ask us that question is because it would be very boring. And similarly, if Tom Cotton and JD Vance and whoever they can have an answer where they go, Trump did lose, and I believe that it was a mistake that the Democratic voters made, and it’s a mistake. We’re going to correct this November, and Trump will win. But yes? Kristen, yes. Tim Walz, yes, whoever is asking Donald Trump did lose if they said that, The question goes away and they stop looking so pathetic. Now, why won’t they simply say that? There are two, maybe three reasons. We’ll call it two and a half. Number one, they are performing for an audience of one the most important audience, which is Donald Trump himself. Tom Cotton, the stakes don’t seem as high. JD Vance, he’s Trump’s running mate. He doesn’t want to piss him off. So number one, this is about performing for Trump and total and ultimate loyalty, even if it makes you look like a buffoon. Number two, the more people they can get continuing to think that 2020 was stolen, the more likely it is there will be tolerance or even support for Trump trying to take the 2024 election, even if you lose. Now, unlike Trump, who says I can only lose if it’s rigged, I believe Trump might win and he might lose. If Trump wins, it would be a fair win. I don’t believe Trump will steal it if it turns out on election night or the next morning, he has 270 electoral votes. I think he might win. I think he might lose. I think Kamala. HARRIS might win or she might lose. But what Donald Trump is trying to do by having his surrogates continue to deny that he simply lost is manufactured consent that you should still be mad about 2020, and you should let me do whatever I can think of doing this time around if it looks like I lost, and that’s a very dangerous thing that we need to be prepared for you.
Why Republicans won’t admit who won 2020 election
By Straight Arrow News
President Joe Biden defeated former President Donald Trump in the U.S. 2020 election by margins of 74 votes in the Electoral College and over 7 million votes in the national popular vote count. Despite these outcomes, many elected Republican officials continue to refuse to acknowledge the winner of the 2020 election. During his debate with Democratic presidential candidate Tim Walz, Republican candidate JD Vance avoided saying that Trump lost when asked about the outcome of that election
Watch the above video as Straight Arrow News contributor David Pakman outlines what he thinks are the major reasons explaining why so many Republican officials consistently refuse to acknowledge the winner of the U.S. 2020 presidential election.
