A fisherman was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard on Thursday, Oct. 10, after spending nearly 24 hours adrift off the coast of Florida, clinging to a cooler following Hurricane Milton’s devastation. The man, who was aboard the fishing vessel Capt. Dave, was found approximately 30 miles off Longboat Key after the boat became disabled amidst the Category 3 hurricane, which brought winds of 120 miles per hour, heavy rain, and tornadoes.
