Pro-Palestinian protesters occupied the University of Washington’s Interdisciplinary Engineering Building on Monday, May 5, prompting police to make several arrests. The demonstration, organized by the suspended student group Super UW, began around 5 p.m. Protesters blocked access points with barricades and set dumpsters on fire. Just after 11:30 p.m., officers in riot gear entered the building and arrested individuals who refused to leave. The facility is partially funded by Boeing.
