Iran has formed a temporary three-member leadership council after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint U.S.-Israeli attack. The interim council includes President Masoud Pezeshkian, judiciary chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei and senior cleric Alireza Arafi, who is serving as the Guardian Council’s representative.
