THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 36-MILLION LATINOS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN THE NOVEMBER ELECTION.  SO IT’S NO SURPRISE THAT FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AND VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS ARE BOTH COURTING THE LATINO OR HISPANIC VOTE.

A NEW STUDY INDICATES THAT HARRIS IS LEADING TRUMP AMONG LATINOS BUT THERE IS SOME ENCOURAGING NEWS FOR THE FORMER PRESIDENT.  HE IS DOING BETTER WITH THIS PARTICULAR VOTING BLOCK, THAN HE DID IN 2020 OR EVEN 2016.

AN NBC NEWS/TELEMUNDO/CNBC POLL, THIS MONTH, FOUND THAT 54 PERCENT OF REGISTERED LATINO VOTERS SUPPORT KAMALA HARRIS, COMPARED TO 40 FOR TRUMP.  6 PERCENT ARE UNSURE OR WILL NOT VOTE.

COMPARE THAT TO TRUMP RECEIVING ONLY 27 PERCENT OF LATINO SUPPORT IN 2020 WHEN HE LAGGED BEHIND JOE BIDEN BY 36 PERCENTAGE POINTS.  AND BACK IN 2016, WHEN JUST 19 PERCENT SAID THEY WOULD VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP.

WHEN IT COMES TO THE ISSUES, THE NBC NEWS/TELEMUNDO POLLS FOUND THAT DONALD TRUMP DID BETTER THAN KAMALA HARRIS ON  : SECURING THE U-S-MEXICO BORDER AND CONTROLLING IMMIGRATION. ALSO, DEALING WITH INFLATION, THE ECONOMY AND COST OF LIVING.,

LATINO VOTERS FAVOR HARRIS OVER TRUMP ON ISSUES INCLUDING : PROTECTING IMMIGRANT RIGHTS, ABORTION, AND ADDRESSING THE CONCERNS OF THE LATINO COMMUNITY.

THE POLL SURVEYED ONE-THOUSAND REGISTERED VOTERS.  IT’S WORTH NOTING THAT TWO KEY BATTLEGROUND STATES,  NEVADA AND ARIZONA, BOTH HAVE STRONG HISPANIC OR LATINO POPULATIONS AND WILL BE PIVOTAL IN  THE ELECTION.
