5 Republicans face off in third GOP primary debate in Miami

Five Republican presidential candidates will take the stage tonight for the third GOP primary debate in Miami. The debate is at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Those who qualified for the debate are former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, who participated in the last two debates, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who participated in the first debate, did not qualify.

Former Vice President Mike Pence has dropped out of the race since the last debate, and former President Donald Trump, the current Republican frontrunner, said he would not attend the debate. Instead, he’ll be holding a rally just a half hour away simultaneously.

This marks the third debate Trump has chosen not to participate in. Trump has yet to qualify for a debate even though he meets the polling and fundraising requirements as he refuses to sign a pledge to support the GOP nominee if he loses the Republican presidential primary.

The debate will feature the fewest number of candidates of any of the GOP primary debates thus far.

The debate airs on Wednesday, Nov. 8, on NBC from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
