The Trump administration attempted to crack down on robocalls, but the Federal Communications Commission struggled with enforcement. As of June 30, 2021, major phone carriers have to adopt new technology that blocks fake or spoofed calls–or face fines if they don’t.

AS OF JUNE 30TH, MAJOR PHONE CARRIERS HAVE TO ADOPT TECHNOLOGY WHICH VALIDATES THE CALLER I-D AS LEGIT.

THE TECHNOLOGY IS CALLED STIR/SHAKEN.

IT’S BUILT INTO THE NETWORK, SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. With that tech…A FAKE OR SPOOFED PHONE CALL wont BE ABLE TO GET THROUGH.

SOME CARRIERS ARE ALREADY DOING THIS – BUT NOW those that DON’T USE THE TECHNOLOGY, THEY’LL BE FINED BY THE F-C-C.
