Guns and marijuana: Is the U.S. a danger to Mexico?

Full story

As some politicians, including former President Trump, claim criminals are crossing the southern border, the Mexican government argues the opposite is true–in court. Mexico is suing American gun manufacturers over accusations of reckless practices that allow for their products to illegally stream into the Latin American country. According to a University of San Diego study, 200,000 American guns are illegally brought into Mexico each year. The lawsuit raises questions about who should be held responsible.

Apparently, guns are not the only product being smuggled south. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration has reported marijuana flowing across the border, into Mexico, as well.
