Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, has been indicted on federal gun charges by a grand jury in Delaware, according to court documents. Biden has been charged with three counts relating to making false statements on federal forms and possession of a firearm while using narcotics.

David Weiss, named special counsel by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, filed the charges on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Two of the counts accuse Biden of lying on federal ATF forms when purchasing a revolver in October 2018 and falsely stating that he was “not a user of or addicted to any illegal substances – when in fact, as he knew, that statement was false and fictitious,” according to the indictment.

The third count alleges Biden possessed a gun while addicted to illegal drugs in October 2018.

It’s a federal crime to lie on an ATF form and possess a firearm if you use illegal drugs.

In July, Biden planned to plead guilty to two tax-related misdemeanor charges to avoid jail time, but that plea deal fell apart in July.

Republicans called the failed plea deal a “sweetheart deal” as it would have allowed Biden to attend a diversion program instead of pleading guilty to illegally possessing a firearm. Two months later, Biden is facing three gun charges and could be on trial as his father, President Biden, seeks re-election in 2024.

Earlier this week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) launched an impeachment inquiry into President Biden relating to Hunter Biden’s business dealings with China and Ukraine.

Weiss says the Justice Department is still looking into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes, and charges could be coming.

Biden has been summoned to appear in court, but it’s unclear where the initial appearance will happen.

Hunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison and fines up to $750,000 if convicted.

HUNTER BIDEN – THE SITTING PRESIDENT’S SON – HAS BEEN INDICTED ON FEDERAL GUN CHARGES BY A GRAND JURY IN DELAWARE.

SPECIAL COUNSEL DAVID WEISS – WHO WAS APPOINTED TO THE POSITION BY ATTORNEY GENERAL MERRICK GARLAND – FILED THE CHARGES EARLIER TODAY.

HUNTER BIDEN IS CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS…

TWO OF THE COUNTS ACCUSE HUNTER BIDEN OF LYING ON FEDERAL FORMS WHEN PURCHASING A REVOLVER IN OCTOBER 2018 – FALSELY STATING THAT HE WAS “NOT A USER OF OR ADDICTED TO ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES – “WHEN IN FACT, AS HE KNEW, THAT STATEMENT WAS FALSE AND FICTITIOUS,” PROSECUTORS CLAIM.

AND ONE COUNT ALLEGES HUNTER BIDEN POSSESSED A GUN WHILE HE WAS ADDICTED TO CRACK COCAINE IN OCTOBER OF 2018.

IT’S A FEDERAL CRIME TO LIE ON AN A-T-F FORM AND POSSESS A FIREARM IF YOU’RE AN ILLEGAL DRUG USER.

BACK IN JULY – HUNTER BIDEN WAS PLANNING ON PLEADING “GUILTY” TO TWO TAX-RELATED CHARGES AND LIKELY AVOID JAIL TIME – HOWEVER – THAT PLEA DEAL IMPLODED WHEN THE JUDGE RAISED THE ISSUE OF IMMUNITY.

REPUBLICANS CALLED THE FAILED PLEA deal A “SWEETHEART DEAL” AS IT WOULD’VE ALLOWED HUNTER BIDEN TO ATTEND A DIVERSION PROGRAM INSTEAD OF PLEADING “GUILTY” TO HAVING ILLEGALLY POSSESS A FIREARM.

NOW – HUNTER BIDEN COULD BE ON TRIAL – AS HIS FATHER – PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN – SEEKS RE-ELECTION IN 2024.

EARLIER THIS WEEK – HOUSE SPEAKER KEVIN MCCARTHY ANNOUNCED AN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY INTO PRESIDENT BIDEN – RELATING TO HIS SON’S BUSINESS DEALINGS WITH CHINA AND UKRAINE.

WEISS SAYS THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT IS STILL LOOKING INTO HUNTER BIDEN’S ALLEGED TAX CRIMES AND CHARGES COULD BE COMING.

BIDEN HAS BEEN SUMMONED TO APPEAR IN COURT – IT’S UNCLEAR WHERE THE INITIAL APPEARANCE WILL HAPPEN

IF CONVICTED ON ALL COUNTS – HUNTER BIDEN COULD BE IMPRISONED FOR UP TO 25 YEARS IN PRISON AND FINED UP TO $750-THOUSAND DOLLARS.
