IDF: Gazan hospital director admits Hamas used clinic as operations base

Full story

Despite talks of negotiations for a second temporary cease-fire in Gaza, fighting between Israel and Hamas continues. The Israel Defense Force said it has uncovered more evidence of the terror group using civilian infrastructure to wage war and launch attacks on the Jewish state.

They use civilian infrastructure to build terror.

Israeli military spokesperson

The IDF said the director of a hospital in northern Gaza admitted to being a Hamas commander and that the terror group used the hospital as a military post. He added that at one point, Hamas held a kidnapped Israeli soldier.

The man also told the IDF that Hamas had used private ambulances, not for moving and treating injured civilians and soldiers, but for mission-specific purposes, including transporting at least one hostage.

The IDF indicated that Hamas has deliberately made lines blurred as nations, including the U.S., call on Israel to limit civilian deaths in its fight against Hamas.

“Look from the outside, Palestinian square, community, hotels, colleges, everything is normal,” an Israeli military spokesperson said. “You take five meters to the left; a regular garage is a workshop for tunnels; this is the place where they build tunnels; this is how they build tunnels. They use civilian infrastructure to build terror.”

The IDF also posted a video on social media indicating that soldiers found military equipment inside a school, including what appear to be grenades.

Calling Hamas leaders “cowards,” the Gazan hospital director reportedly told the IDF that the terror group abandoned its people as leaders have gone into hiding.

“They are cowards because they left us in the field while they are hiding in secret places,” he said. “The people are the ones who pay the price.”
