HE WAS RANTING AND RAVING THAT THE CORONAVIRUS WAS LEAKED FROM THE WUHAN LAB.

STEPHEN COLBERT: “DO YOU MEAN PERHAPS THERE’S A CHANCE THAT THIS WAS CREATED IN A LAB?”

JON STEWART: “A CHANCE? THERE’S A NOVEL RESPIRATORY CORONAVIRUS OVERTAKING WUHAN, CHINA, WHAT DO WE DO? OH, YOU KNOW, WHO WE COULD ASK? THE WUHAN NOVEL RESPIRATORY CORONAVIRUS LAB. THE DISEASE IS THE SAME NAME AS THE LAB! THAT’S JUST A LITTLE TOO WEIRD!”

TAYLOR: WELL HIS COMMENT WAS MUSIC TO THE EARS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN PUSHING LAB THEORY FROM THE BEGINNING.

THIS WAS COLBERT’S FIRST TIME BACK IN STUDIO WITH A LIVE AND FULLY VACCINATED AUDIENCE SINCE 2020.

SO IT ONLY SEEMED APPROPRIATE TO KICK OFF THE SHOW WITH A CANDID COVID CONVERSATION.
