New York AG sues former President Trump, his children and business for fraud
Longworth: New York’s Attorney General, Letitia James, has been investigating former President Trump for years.
Today, she accused him of fraud.
James: “The complaint demonstrates that donald trump falsely inflated hi net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself and to cheat the system–thereby cheating all of us.”
Longworth: And filed suit against him, three of his children, and the Trump organization in state court.
The lawsuit alleges that the real estate company’s asset valuations were manipulated.
And it seeks $250 million in damages and to prevent Trump and the children named from being officers of companies in New York. It would also put restrictions on the Trump Organization—including a block on commercial real estate acquisitions for five years.
This adds to the pile of lawsuits against the former president, which we’ll continue to monitor here at Straight Arrow News.
